1. What’s Coal mining cables?

Mining cables are essential wires and cables used in the mining industry, especially critical in coal mines. They are applied to connect coal mining machines, conveyors, basic lighting systems, communication equipment and other devices. Due to the harsh underground environment and the risk of explosion caused by accumulated coal dust, mining cables (including coal mining cables) must meet extremely high safety standards.

2. Requirements for Chinese Mining Cables

Special cables for coal mining uses are the general term for coal mine cables. 2.1.2 Voltage Grade: 300/500V, 380/660V, 660/1140V, 1.9/3.3kV, 3.6/6kV, 6/10kV, 8.7/10kV.

2.1.3 Temperature Range: Conductor operating temperature 65℃ / 90℃; ambient temperature -35℃ to 55℃.

2.3.3 Temperature Range: Conductor operating temperature 65℃; ambient temperature -35℃ to 55℃.

3. Service life

Taitong provides a wide range of mining cable models, including mining power cables, mining control cables, shearer cables, and mobile rubber-sheathed flexible mining cables. Different types have different service lives.

Mining power cables and mining control cables are usually for fixed installation, with a long service life of at least 10 years.

Shearer cables have a shorter life: high-quality ones last 6 months to 1 year, while inferior ones only 7 days to 3 months. For safety reasons, coal mines replace them regularly.Mobile flexible mining cables generally last more than 1 year.
